Front-end Developer

Located in Norwalk, CT, we are looking for a Front-end Developer who is proficient with Reactjs to join our in-house digital team on our Digital Commerce platform that powers and Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known Reactjs workflows. You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

  • Develop and maintain new and existing user-facing features using React
  • Build reusable components integrated with our design system for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and translate into high quality code
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Be part of a collaborative, friendly, and open environment within a small team using an Agile process with planning, code reviews, and retrospectives to improve your output
  • Effectively communicate and develop relationships with technical and business teams across the organization

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer science preferred and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in Reactj web development, design, and architecture
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Thorough understanding of Reactjs and its core principles
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Motivated, talented, and spirited, with a love for front-end development and learning new things.
  • Must take pride in testing front-end code in all supported browsers because you know it’s better to do it right the first time.
  • Must be comfortable working around web server-side programming languages such as Java and Nodejs.
  • Experience working on a bigger team and know how important Git is when working on big projects with daily commits.
